📃 On paper
All the marks in each module count towards the final grade. Hence you have to maintain good results throughout if you want to achieve first class. In some universities the first year grade does not count towards the final grade, hence allowing students to learn and develop their skills overtime.
👐🏻 General approach
It depends on which design studio you choose. Each studio has their own theme/approach. For example one of the studios mainly focuses on model making.
There are trips in Year 1, 3 and 4. These trips count towards the 20% training. Hence you could get paid whilst on the trip.
They do regularly have guest speakers coming in (Thursday evenings), which is slightly inconvenient for apprentices who are at work and only attends university on Tuesdays
Sadly no competitions or live projects
💖 Student support
They do have a really good student union/student support services
If I am not mistaken, they have a web based app which lets you open Rhino and other softwares from your personal machine.
They do have lots of computers in the library and many other places in the campus if you wish to use university PCs.
