👐🏻 General approach
It is technically focussed, creative focus limited to select few studio units.
💖 Student support
We have personal tutors but they are hit and miss, the uni generally has a good system in place for students who need support in academic performance and the department adheres to the rules of the uni. In general there isnt much support from teaching staff.
🛠️ Facilities
2 campus libraries are open 24/7 during exam season, studio open 7 days a week until 9pm. BUT as of now half of the building doesnt have functioning outlets for charges so you may need a portable charger. The studio is a bit cramped. Arch department is disconnected physically from the rest of campus so the prayer facilities are about 15/20 min walk away - just use the kitchenette instead as the department refused to offer me a private room to pray. New renovated toilets, new kitchen, cafe. Printers for regular printing are fine, for third year there will be difficulties for printing for the exhibition.

😉 Insider Tips
You dont need to buy most of the equipment they recommend on the supply list. Just get some fine liners in various thicknesses, good tracing paper and a good gsm sketchbook. Also make sure you get a laptop that supports rendering software especially vray or enscape - the department expects all of this to be self taught and dont help much with it so make sure you are prepared. Buy a second hand drawing board, 95% of you wont use it after first year.
